    Program with JavaScript?

I'm not sure what's going on, but it seems that on any websites with a click button that goes to a JavaScript program, whenever I click, nothing happens (ie. the JavaScript is not run). I recently installed a program called NetBeans IDE 3.5 because it was required to run this other program which is used to run an online auction site. I've uninstalled everything but same problem.

Any ideas what I can do?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Sounds like to me that all you need to do is download and install the Java Applet. Do a google search for Java applet and you will get many hits to download it. Please let us know if this works out for you..

I did download it but same thing. Somebody suggested I play around with the Java security options but still same thing. It's such a weird problem I can't figure it out.

    Try Adaware from LavaSoft or
SpyBot and try free virus scanners from http://www.pctechbytes.com/virus.htm --all links are on the virus page....just to be safe

I have Adaware as well as Norton Internet Security 2003 installed. Perhaps the two aren't compatible? Norton is in the background while I run Adaware once in a while.

The only other thing I can suggest is a program called Regcleaner. We have it in our free downloads area of this forum. Mayhaps this Beans program has left part of itself behind. Look for it with this program and delete it.

Also, if you have a restore point in XP, maybe you can restore to a date when all was woring good. Read this http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p...ng/restore.asp
