I have a Pavilion 4458 with Rockwell/Riptide combo card. This is connected to com3 port and works fine in Win 98. I installed Windows 2000 in another partition and while installing this modem for Windows 2000, it does not show com3 port. Only com1 port is shown and modem diagnostic fails.

I enabled IRQ2, 3 and 4 in BIOS and now COM1 and COM2 both show up while installing the modem. However since COM3 is not shown the modem does not install properly. I cannot even get to properties tab of the modem (it is disabled).

Can someone point me to the right drivers and/or BIOS updates or show how to enable COM3 port.
