Thread: win 98 reinstall

    win 98 reinstall

    I am trying to wipe my pc clean and reinstall win 98. When I go to my c prompt an type format c: it just says bad command. What do I do at this point.

    You first need to make sure you have a Windows 98 startup floppy. Make one by going to ADD/REMOVE programs in the Control Panel, then click on the startup tab. You will need a blank floppy.

    Once completed, boot to this floppy. At the A: prompt, type format c:.

    Is this what you did?
