    Speaker sound

Can anyone tell me how to adjust the sound coming from the speakers? Somewhere someone has changed a sound option on the computer and all sound coming from the speakers is on the echo mode??? How can get it back to normal sound?
    TIA

Depending on the type of sound card, this can either be done by double-clicking the small speaker icon in the system tray (by the clock). Sometimes, sound cards will even place a utility on the desktop that allows you to access the controls. For instance, sound blaster live puts this at the top of the desktop. It's invisible until you move the mouse to the top of the screen.

Thanks so much for your reply but nothing seems to work. I found the speaker icon and looked over all options. Couldn't find anything that worked. any suggestions.
    TIA

I guess we should determine what sound card you have. If you're not sure, you might want to run the Belarc Advisor from here http://www.belarc.com. It's a free program that indexes all of the hardware and software on your system. If you decide to download this, look under MULTIMEDIA for the type of soundcard you have.

I have not read this, but it is from the Sound Blaster web site and it is a manual for your model. I bet the answer you're looking for is here. http://www.americas.creative.com/sup...sp?centric=107

Also, try looking in START>PROGRAMS>CREATIVE....the settings you're looking for might be in there.
