    I dunno. I pretty much know where I keep my stuff. I've never really used the Microsoft or Google Desktop Search. Maybe I'll give it a shot.

    Kinda what I was thinking. I can always do an explorer search. If that's too slow, I can enable indexing. I guess that is what I an getting at ... what is the need for a separate search tool?

    naa i like google search cuz it works with my OS as well as all my other OSes

    Windows XP SP2 [Haven't Tried It With SP3 Yet]
    Ubuntu 7.10

    I use Vista's built in search because it is faster than browsing with explorer most of the time. It is integrated and not in the way like Google's. I haven't used this stand alone one from microsoft though.
