I don't have any use for it. The only thing I need backups of is my music, which I have an external hard drive for. Everything else on my computer is not valuable or I could just reinstall.

Maybe
I'm thinking about picking one of these up and was curious if anyone else sees the Windows 2008 Home server as something they'd use for their network.

I used to have my computers connected to a network, now I just share the internet connection, as I am pretty much in the same boat as Random, I have several external hard drives and a few jump drives, so I really see no need to be networked. That's not to say I don't see the benefits of people having a server, I'm just not that sophisticated I guess...lol. All I use my computers for is mostly repairing computers, email, and surfing the net, no game playing here.
you should actually change this to would you get a server because i'm setting up one for my dad but it's gonna be either SuSE or Ubuntu server not M$ [the reason being is that he needs it to back up stuff for school but i'll be regulating it because he has no idea how to set up even XP]
