sound problems !!! please help

Hi i have just had a complete reinstall of my computer (by a friend) and i cannot get any sound i have looked in the control panel and it says i have no audio device???? what does this mean ive checked my speakers and they are plugged in!!

you need a driver, go to device manager

In your Control Panel double click the System icon, then the Hardware tab, and Device Manager. See what is listed under the Sound controllers and if there is a yellow warning next to it.

You will probably have to find the make and model of your sound card listed there and go to the manufactures website, download the latest drivers and reinstall them.
