    Question low volume only

Set of external speakers quit working, couldn't get any sound whatsoever from computer. Sent computer to shop, now only low volume can be heard with headphones since speakers don't work. Any ideas? I have raised all vol controls to full blast, used cd player and hard drive but get the same volume level. Please help if possible, thanks Shakeybritches.

What did the shop do to the system?

I don't think this is a driver issue. First thing I would triple check is the volume settings. You have expanded all of the volume options in task bar and raised all levels, PLUS raised the level on the software program you're using to play the music?

I'd also try another set of sepeakers or headphones.

Make sure they are plugged intot he speaker jack on the sound card at the back of the PC (Don't laugh, I always plug mine in wrong).

yah the jack has two stages try pushing it in if you hear a snap then thats second stage lol when its not plugged in good you will have low volumes
but im thinking your headset isnt good you should try other speakers if you
    can

on volume control go to options and hit advance controls to get all the volume control and mess with them also go to sound properties and hit audio tab and make sure sound play back is set to sound card your using with the headset
