firewall

Could you please help. I have a Compaq pc. windows XP. 120gb hard drive. with norton firewall. Problem is when I email or go on to the internet my dial up connects, but I am unable to send emails or surf the net. Unless I unable the firewall. Even though my phone is connected. I have had the firewall on for approx. 6 months and never had a problem up to the last 2 weeks. Hope that you understand me and able to help.

Seems like you have unintentionally denied yourself internet access. You can uninstall and reinstall the software or try and figure out how to enable it again. Might be faster to just reinstall the firewall.
