Private Messages are reserved for paying members. Click on Private Messages at the top of the page. Scroll down the left hand side and look for My Account. Paid Subscription should be under that. Only costs $10 per year to join. Not sure what that translates into pounds though.

If you have already done that, you will need to get a hold of Dave and ask him.

OK well there's not really much point if the other people who I wish to PM need to pay aswell. And besides I already pay enough for my internet connection.

    Thanks for the information....

And thanks for the VIP membership.

VIPs can PM. That's why I upgraded you. In the past, we had problems with spammers, so this is why only certain groups can send PMs. Otherwise, your PM box would be filled with porn and viruses. Yet another example how SPAMMERS are ruining the Internet for everyone else.

Fair enough I appreicate it I'm always casreful what I click on these days but I know how much of a problem this can be. Does this mean the people who haven't been upgraded can reply to my PM's too?

PMs are limited to VIPs only now, so it depends on their status. If someone can receive a PM they should be able to send them back.
People who come thru frequently and assist those needing help are usually upgraded to VIP status, but it doesn't happen overnight. I can speak from experience that Dave will upgrade regular contributors to VIPs. I paid for the privilege first, but let my membership lapse, and in return for my work Dave upgraded me at no charge. Those who invest in a VIP membership may have to do so once, future status depends on what they contribute or purchase.

I asked my psychiatrist when I might get better. He said he doesn't know, he's just practicing right now.

Nah. People don't have to contribute--only a couple ever did, anyway. It's like Bama said, productive members will be upgraded--they deserve to be. I might change it to something like after 50 posts a person's account is automatically upgraded to a class that allows you to PM (not necessarily a VIP account).

thats what i was about to say why not let senior member PM due to the fact that they have oblivously have been helping provide feedback or asking questions

Hey, I just noticed that. Those two people were me! Now I see why I got the Elite status. If you feel I deserve a rebate please forward it to a Haitian relief fund. God knows those folks have never gotten a break. I'm going to ask Him about that when I get the chance. Hopefully they'll be better off by that time.

Hey Guys; this is a great free forum that help a lot of folks get out of trouble without having to pay an arm & a leg.If I got something I want to say to Bama I click his name & send him a note. If somebody wants to read it so what. I& my wife live on social security & I would luv to help this forum but sometime the bank acct.just don't permit it. Some day I will send a CONTRIBUTION but can't commit to doing all the time. Dave ; your site is fine & remember you can't alway keep everyone happy.
