    toshiba laptop heating up

i have a toshiba satellite 5205-S505 (2003) that gets real hot and slows applications down after just a few minutes. anyone know if this is typical for this model and can be fixed or is it time for a new laptop?

Do you ever hear the fan kick on? Fan may need to be cleaned or replaced.
