Earthlink is our provider. Technically tho, Time Warner Road Runner is providing all of the physical stuff. Modem, cable etc.. We have the standard home package. I personally am on a wireless G desktop .

I tested again at 5pm just since the last one was at 2am LOL These tests are always saying my DL is over 20 Mbps but when actually DL anything the highest I ever see is 1.5Mbps. So I'm guessing that the power boost from Cox may be giving us a false sense of speed. Our internet used to be kind of flaky about a year ago when they were upgrading the system around here. Lately we have not had any problems at all. Consistent speed when surfing the web and downloading. I know some of the DL speed is the server on the other end. I still have no complaints with my service. There are a total of 4 wireless G, one wireless N, and 4 wired devices using one Belkin Wireless N+ router here. The router loses its connection to everything on the inside of the home network at random. About once every 2 months or so. Just unplug it for 10 seconds and its all good to go again. Waiting for the firmware update to see if that fixes that problem. Other than that the router is great for the speed and having the dual band broadcast. It also has a guest wireless that keeps others out of your home network. LOL

Comcast Business Class - $32.00 a month out the door for 22mbs (We get more for some reason...)

Download is between 25 and 50
Upload is usually ALWAYS above 10. This is the first time ive seen it this low.

Personally, I never feel it can be fast enough, but I try to get a happy medium between up and down--especially since I do a lot of uploading to servers.

This is bulls***! I can't get the test to work! But even worse than that, I pay $60 a month for 10 MB/s down and 5 MB/s up. If I'm lucky I'll get a test of around 7 down and 3 up... on a good day. You wankers in the city get fast speeds for cheap because you have a choice. My choice is take Charter cable ISP or dial-up. Or I can use smoke signals.

I can run an extension cord out through the woods for you, if ya like.

But seriously, think back a few years ago and remember when dial-up was the only option. It's getting better everywhere, Bama. Be patient.
