Or I can use smoke signals.
don't feel bad i live out in the sticks and i found out the old microwave in my house is blowing out my router it's killed 2 routers in less than 6 months

DSL, 1.5 down, actual 1.3 down.
    Pay $19.95 mo.
I could go to 3.0 down for $5 mo more, but I'm cheap.

I'm cheap too, but also looking for the best bargain. I could go with 5 mbs dl for $55, but the lure of twice the speed for 10% more money was more than I could resist.

The subject of BBoP, or Broadband over Power lines came up once. Nobody here knew anything about it, but I talked to my friend in Germany and he said it was offered over there several years ago. The service disappeared because apparently there wasn't enough demand. But I recently looked through my DirecTV setup options and they seem to have something similar. Instead of using a wireless connection there was an option to use a unit that plugged into a power outlet. I don't really recall what it was related to, I'm thinking it was for receiving updates, but I remember wondering how they got it to work.

This country needs something like that because too many rural households don't have access to affordable broadband services. And I'm sure the price I have to pay would drop significantly if the cable company had some competition.
