HELP, HELP!! I bought a new PC with Vista Ultimate installed: after three weeks, I could not pick up the CD-Rom drive when I clicked "Computer". took it back to the supplier, who un-installed Vista and re-installed: Fine now I could get hold of the CD-Rom drive, but when I clicked the Control Panel Icon, Windows Explorer stopped working, then all icons on desktop disappeared, then came back on again, after Explorer started up again, Took it back to the Supplier, who could not find the problem immediately, I needed the PC for my Accounts, Told him I'll,bring it back. Got hold of Microsoft, but as it was an OEM machine, they declined to help, unless I paid R249.00 ?? Can you please help?

Have you tried system restore?

Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore

Go back to a date where all was happy.

Otherwise, reinstall again, if possible.
