    Easy question

I've got 3 PCs on my network (192.168.0.3, 192.168.0.4, 192.168.0.5) and I have a sister one state away from me that wants to connect to all/any of my 3 PCs using my IP. I know how to open my ports on my modem and I've also setup a VPN on my PC to accept incoming connectons. I'm using Windows XP Pro and I have DSL.

My easy question is: Can anyone tell me step-by-step how I can get her to be able to connect to me and see all 3 PCs on my network using my IP, just like if I was looking in My Network Places from "her" PC and I could see all 3 of mine in there :?:

I've been search for the answer everywhere on my own on the net, but no site can tell me step-by-step how to do it. I would really appreciate it if someone could answer this SIMPLE question for me.

Give this a shot.....if you have XP Professional you are good to go. Good luck.

I'm not trying to have them control the computers remotely, I am trying to let her connect to my computers to obtain file. Like I can do myself in My Network Places, where I can open folders and copy them to my computer. I have a program already for remote desktop sharing, that's not what I'm looking for. I need help getting her PC to connect to my PCs so she can get my files and vise-versa.

I doubt you can do it with your current set up. Your IP is a Private IP and most likely she is behind a router with her own Private IP. If you on the other hand had a server operating system like 2000 or 2003 server, LInux, etc etc, it could happen thru VPN. XP Pro can connect to a VPN but it cant serve as a VPN Server. SO in my opinion the best thing that you could do is download the SSH file transfer client. You would have to open the correct ports on your outer for people on the outside to access it, but she would be able to see the files that you shared for her. You would set up a username and password for her, and since you will be using SSH it will be pretty secure. I use it myself and I like it.
