need motherboard, memory and CPU (AMD or Intel) which is better?

    thanks

Are you keeping your current mouse, keyboard and monitor? What about a case? Your choice on AMD or Intel. I prefer Intel myself. Gaming memory is a waste of money unless you plan on overclocking. That type of memory just adds more heat to inside of the case. Not what you want.

What types of games did you have in mind to play?

Intel still has the upper hand for processors.
The graphics card is a lot more important than the speed of RAM for games.
Just get the fastest RAM your motherboard will support - doesn't need to be really special.

Yes I am keeping my current mouse keyboard and case, the case is good for any motherboard and I got a 500 watt power supply in it.

I do like nvidia graphics cards myself, I will need to replace my graphics card with a PCI-E card my PC now is a AGP which is old. I will be buying parts 1 or 2 at a time I can not do this all at once.

    thanks

If your not able to but everything now, my advice is to wait until you can get everything at once. Parts are replaced with better parts pretty frequently. Another reason is warranty issues. For example, you buy a vid card today but can't use it till November. How do you know it's good today? You won't till you install it. Also you might like something better later but are stuck with what you have. Save up your money first and buy at the same time. We'll be glad to help you spec out a system.

Holding off on building a new PC till I get enough money rounded up, well reopen if I start to spec out a system.

    thanks

The ATI 5770 will eat it for lunch. Check out Tom's Hardware for proof. Not to mention that the 260 is over a year old and more less obsolete now.

Personally, I think that HP is a mistake, but it's done. Your thread will be closed as you requested.
